STANDARDS Magazine is a quarterly print magazine about people and their jobs. Each issue focuses on a different craft or trade, examining the history, processes and people in the field. The publication is meant to respect and admire these workers and their labor from afar, while still taking time to experience the different facets of the job up close. For the Summer 2018 issue, the subject was Beekeeping.
The magazine is divided into 3 different sections: History, Process, and Access. The first section delves into the history of the craft.
After History is the Process section where the primary techniques and tools of the craft are examined.
The last section of the magazine is dedicated to the business, and to the steps it takes to get work in the field. For this issue, I interviewed a local beekeeper.
